Quick Sourdough Bread FAQs
How can I make this sourdough bread recipe vegan?
Simply swap the pastured eggs for flax or chia eggs or your favorite egg replacer. If you opt for flax eggs, just mix 1 tbsp of ground flax seeds (or flaxseed meal) and 3 tablespoons of water. Stir with a fork until combined and let it rest for 10 - 15 minutes. Once your mixture has become congealed like jelly, it is ready to use!
Is the bread dairy-free?
Yup. I used water. However, you can use non-dairy milk or milk as a replacement.
How to store sourdough bread?
It’s best to store homemade sourdough bread in the fridge once it's completely cool. Store as is or pre-slice and place in a storage container. It should last 5 - 7 days in the fridge.
How to freeze sourdough bread?
Either store as is or pre-slice your bread and seal in a container or freezer bag. I like to pre-slice my bread and store it in the freezer. In the morning, I will take out a slide or two and warm it in my toaster oven. Bread should last three months or more in the freezer.

The best way to reheat your bread or slices of bread is in the toaster oven or toaster! This will ensure every bite is still moist. Toast as you usually would or warm in your toaster oven for 5 - 6 minutes at 350f.
